I, Akmar Nordin a dream builder from Malaysia would love to make her Ultimate Dream #1 come true by hooking up with Oprah Winfrey. Over the last four years I kept this piece of paper simply scribbled -- Ailani and Aiman's Time Capsule Project. Oprah inspired me to Reach Out and Touch the hearts of others. When I meet her I will share with her the what, why, when , who, where and How of this project.
To reach out -- this project would symbolise the need of inspiring every child to read everyday. This part of the world, trying to get a child to read daily is almost unheard of.
The Time Capsule -- would consists of books, either hard cover, CD form, pictures and notes from the present that would be transported to the future.
Time -- every 50 years the capsule would be opened. There would be a memorial to commemorate the people that contributed to the books.
Ailani and Aiman are the names of my children. I wish they would carry out this project and would open the capsule when the time comes.
I wish that this project would inspire others to encourage and motivate a child to read. If I get a chance to meet Oprah Winfrey I would like to ask her, " Mam -- if you have a choice of book to transport it to the future and that book would represent you - what would that be? "
